Jan-Man welcomes carefully sourced pitches, field notes, explainers, research leads and community perspectives that serve the public interest.

What we look for

• Original reporting, documentation or analysis grounded in evidence.
• Clear relevance to communities, public policy, rights, culture, science or everyday public life.
• Respectful, accessible Hindi, English or bilingual writing.
• Transparent sourcing and disclosure of relevant conflicts of interest.

What to send

Email contact@janman.org with the subject “Write for Us”. Include a short pitch, proposed headline or topic, approximate length, language, relevant links or documents, and a brief note about your experience or connection to the subject.

Before you submit

Please do not send work that copies another publication, exposes private information without a public-interest reason, or presents allegations without supporting evidence. Sending a pitch does not guarantee publication or payment.

Our review

We review submissions for relevance, accuracy, originality, clarity and alignment with the Editorial Policy. We may ask for clarification or edits before publication.
